We may be a community, but this community is made of members from different backgrounds, different countries, different cultures, different languages, different playing styles, different skin melanation. Have you ever walked into a room and felt like everyone is staring? Now imagine having that feeling every day because society has informed you that you are different, that you are less than people that are less melanated, that you may have a questionable character. How do we navigate going to events, when the majority of attendees for some of those events do not have a lot of people that look like us? In this discussion we will talk about those uncomfortable feelings and how we can still enjoy those spaces when feeling like people are staring at our faces.
