This class explores the complex, often unspoken dynamics of white-passing privilege within kink spaces. Drawing from lived experience, cultural analysis, and community insight, we’ll unpack how proximity to whiteness can impact visibility, trust, desirability, and belonging—both in personal play and in public kink spaces. Through the 90 minute discussion, we will will examine how passing privilege centers white presenting kinksters and decenters BIPOC members. We’ll explore questions like: Who gets to be “safe” in a dungeon? Who gets believed when things go wrong? How can we use passing privilege to create more inclusive spaces without centering our whiteness? This is a space for accountability and white fragility needs to be set aside. Whether your white presenting or not, this is a space to share feelings, and collaborate on creating kink spaces that are inclusive and accessible for all who wish to participate.
