High giftedness in adults refers to an above-average IQ and EQ. Approximately 2-3% of the population falls into this category. However, high intellectual potential (HIP) is not just about IQ and EQ: It includes deep curiosity, fast learning, and strong problem-solving skills. HIP's often excel in their fields but may struggle with perfectionism, overthinking, and feeling misunderstood. Their intense emotions and deep thinking can lead to anxiety or impostor syndrome.
