Are you a cis person who would like to share space with or play with trans* people, but you are worried about saying or doing the wrong things? This class is your chance to ask a trans* person the questions you think (or have been told) you shouldn’t ask. Join slightlyintopain for this session which will start with information about how to respectfully talk about trans* people, trans* bodies, transitioning, and how experiences for trans* people differ from those of cis people. After that you will have an opportunity to ask any questions, as long as they are coming from a respectful perspective. You will come away from this class with more knowledge about how to engage in respectful conversations with trans* people, how to get fewer things wrong, and what to do when you do make mistakes.

Important note: any attempt to debate trans* peoples’ existence and trans* peoples’ right to live authentically will NOT be tolerated, and you may be asked to leave the session and/or the conference if you engage in that behavior.
